Most landscape care is built for the whole property—lawns, hedges, and edges kept tidy at scale. Fluent Garden gives its full attention to your arrival: the walk from where you park to your front door, and the beds and vessels that frame it.
Every visit is worked entirely by hand. No blowers, no two-stroke engines—out of respect for your home, your neighbours, and the wildlife who share the space. The loudest thing we bring is a pair of secateurs and a good broom.
This is possible because Fluent Garden is not a high-volume landscaping company. It is one horticulture professional, a deliberate choice to leave no noise or fumes behind, and a commitment to fine, thoughtful handcraft.

The things people ask first.
What exactly counts as the “threshold”?
The doorstep or landing, the path that leads to it from where you park, and the beds and containers that frame that walk. Depending on the property, that can be anything from a few feet at a townhouse door to a longer approach up a driveway or garden path.
If you can see it while you’re finding your keys, it’s likely in scope.
What does it cost?
The walk-through is a flat $195, and it is the one figure we can publish honestly. It covers up to an hour on site and the written read of the space that comes out of it.
Design, sourcing, and installation are quoted after that visit. No two thresholds are the same size, the same exposure, or the same amount of work, so a number published before anyone has seen the space would be a wrong one.
Nothing is ever purchased before you have a written quote in hand.
How much maintenance will this need from me?
As little or as much as you want. Our threshold plantings are built from resilient coastal species that hold their composure on their own, but any planting still asks for regular tending and seasonal edits.
For complete peace of mind: put your entrance on our recurring maintenance schedule. We handle the watering, feeding, and pruning. If a plant struggles, we diagnose it, then source and install a replacement during our rounds.
If you’d rather do it yourself: your main job is consistent watering through dry spells while plants establish. From there, book us for seasonal resets to prune, refresh the soil, and edit the composition whenever the space needs a lift.
